Silva is the natural resources unit of Lapland University of Applied Sciences, which organizes higher education and conducts applied research supporting education in agriculture and forestry, natural products and food, and reindeer husbandry.

BIOLAB
The Biolaboratory of Lapland University of Applied Sciences and the University's Arctic Center focuses particularly on the research and product development of natural products. The Biolab is equipped with a wide range of professional equipment and expertise for various stages of the product development process, from raw material preparation to packaging.
